Ug is for the under graduate but pg is for post graduate that is after graduation

Hey Mohit , As the full forms of both suggests
UG- Under Graduate
PG- Post Graduate
As you asked about B.Com , it is an UG course and the PG course would  be M.Com .
Undergraduate is more of like giving basic knowledge about your domain course (In your case it's B.Com ).
Postgraduate is the specilisation in your Course (ie - M.Com ) .
PG course can be opted only if you have UG degree(Exception such as CA)
It is not necessary to opt M.Com as their are many other PG course like
MBA -Master of Business Adminstration
MMS -Master of Mangagement Studies
CA-Chattered Accountant
And many more ...

UG stands for Undergraduation And PG stands for Post Graduation. As the name suggests, PG is pursued after UG. UG is the minimum qualification to pursue PG course. Ug is the bachelor course which is to be pursued after your senior Secondary education and PG is the masters Course which is pursued after Undergraduation.

The time period for Undergraduation is 3-4 years and for Post graduation is only 2 years. 

After pursuing both the degrees you would be the master or you can say professional in that particular  field.

After Post Graduation, you can even apply for Ph.d for doctorate.

Ug in Bcom stands for Bachelors degree in Commerce and PG stands for Post Graduation in commerce. In post graduation the students get to learn more in subjects knowledge and do more extensive or specialised study in some particular subjects of their choice. Hence post graduation is considered as much higher and qualified course than Under graduation.
