B.Sc (Hons) is specialized and standard degree as compared to the B.Sc (General) degree. BSc Hons stand for Bachelor of Science Honours . A Bachelor's degree BSc is generally considered an ordinary pass degree and BSc Hons is looked upon as an extraordinary degree. A Bachelor's degree, or Bachelor's degree ( Hons ), are both academic degrees given to undergraduate students. A Bachelor's degree is a degree which normally takes three years to complete, if you are studying full-time. An Honours Bachelor's degree is a degree which normally takes four years to complete, if you are studying full-time. An honours degree is normally required for admission to a graduate (Master's) program. Honours degree is considered to be a study with enhanced focus on the area taught. It helps a graduate to gain advantage over those with an ordinary degree in their job.

Hope, it helps!
