Eligibility criteria for jee mains:

Candidates appearing/have passed class XII can apply for JEE Main.

For admission to IITs and NITs eligibility criteria before 17 july:

For admissions to the IITs, students need to secure either minimum score of 75% marks in class XII Board exams or rank among the top 20 percentile in their qualifying examinations in addition to qualifying in JEE Advanced.

But now it is change. New eligibility criteria for admission to IIT and Nits :

With the new decision, all JEE Advanced 2020 qualified candidates are eligible to apply for admissions to IITs if they have passed their class 12.
