There are almost 5-6 criteria to be eligible for EWS reservation. Economically Weaker Section or EWS is only the reservation for general category people. A person whose family has a gross annual income below Rs 8 lakhs, and the family should not own or possess agricultural land of size 5 acres or above. And also the person's family should not own or possess a residential flat of area 1000 sq.feet or more and should not own or possess a residential plot of area 100 sq.yards or more in notified municipalities and should not own or possess a residential plot of area 200 sq.yards or more in areas other than in notified municipalities can get the EWS reservation.

Hey!There

Economically Weaker Section(EWS) in INDIA is a subcategory of people which having annual family less than 8lpa and who don't belong to any reserved category. If you are satisfying this criteria then you can go with EWS category as your category in form filling of any entrance EXAMINATION in order to have benefits of this category..

I hope this helps..
