The cost of the MMBS program varies from university to university. In contrast to private medical schools, government medical colleges charge much lower tuition, but admission requires passing a highly demanding medical entrance exam. All India Quota seats are provided by the Central Government and cost about Rs. 50,000 per year for a student. State quota seats range in price from 50,000 to 2 lakhs rupees and depend on the state you live in. On the other hand, tuition at private medical colleges can cost up to Rs. 50 lakhs, with costs starting at Rs. 10 lakhs.
