Dear student,

The rate of change of momentum is product of mass amd acceleration. In simple words rate of change of monument with respect to time is called force.

Characteristics of force are :-

  • It may changethestate of motion of an object.
  • It may changetheshape of an object.
  • Forces applied on an object in the same direction add to one another and the resultant will be in same direction.
  • Force is a vector quantity
