The branches in VIT University is divided into 2 groups - A and B

The details are as follows :

Group - A - Biotechnology, Biomedical, Computer Science and Engg (Spec. in Bioinformatics), Civil , Mechanical with specialization in Energy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Production and Industrial Engineering, Information Technology,Electrical & Electronics Engineering , Electronics and Instrumentation Engineering,Electronics and Computer Engineering,Fashion Technology.

Group - B - Mechanical Engineering , Computer Science and Engineering , Electronics and Communication Engineering , Mechanical with specialization in Automotive Engineering,Computer Science and Engineering with Spec. in Information Security ,Electronics and Communication Engineering with Spec. in Internet of Things and Sensor ,Computer Science and Engineering with Specialization in Data Analytics, Computer Science and Engineering with Specialization in Networks and Security.

furthermore, the category in VITEEE are meant to related to your rank scored in VITEEE exam and the fees that you have to pay for that branch in the university. The ones who get higher ranks get category 1 and have to pay least fees. Gradually as the rank increases, the category increases and so does the fees.

It can be estimated that the following is the criteria of categories.

Category1-rank (1–20,000)

Category 2-rank(20,001–40,000)

Category 3-rank(40,001–65,000)

Category 4-rank(65,001–99,999)

However, there can be changes according to the number of students who take admissions.
