In nits there is reservation of 50 % seats to home state qouta and 50% seats are filled through All india qouta.

Home state qouta means the seats under home state qouta are reserved for the domicile of that state. For example if there are 100 seats in a course at nit of a state then 50 seats will be filled by all india qouta i.e.from all over india and remaining 50 seats will be filled by candidates of that state only.
