If you are talking about IIT JEE then IIT stands for India institute of technology and JEE stands for joint entrance examination.
.
Indian institute technology (IIT) is an institute while joint entrance examination (JEE) is an entrance examination. IIT offer's students Btech courses which needs JEE entrance examination to get admission into the college.
