hi,
It depends on what sort of branch and which IIT you want to join and the category you belong too
eligibility for getting a seat in IIT is 35% marks of the total. So JEE advanced officials give rank to the students who have scored marks greater than 35%.But getting a rank doesn’t mean that you will get a seat too
Also, you do not qualify for JEE ADVANCE through your rank. Instead, it's your marks that decide whether you're qualified for ADVANCE or not.
And now, how many marks you need in JEE MAINS to qualify for JEE ADVANCE.
General: The marks between 100–120 would be enough to just clear the cutoff(wouldn't get you any good rank)
OBC: A decent between60–80 would make you eligible without giving a good rank in MAINS.
SC/ST: You guys just need marks between 40–60 to clear the cut-off.
There is no fixed score for cutoff it would be around 80-130.
For admission in IITs you should have rank below 3k. So aim high.
So do well, all the best!!!!
