hello.

IIT JAM is a joint Admission test for msc at all india level conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IITS), its an online entrance exam conducted every year on a rotatinal basis on behalf of ministry of human resources development(MHRD), Govt, of India.

There are seven objective-type test papers in IIT jam are-

Chemistry, physics, mathematics, geology,  Biological sciences, Mathematical statistics, Biotechnology.

Eligibility criteria of this exam is to hold bachelor's degree (Bsc) with minimum aggregate of 55%, There is no age limit to appear in this exam.

Hi aspirant,

IIT JAM is a national level science entrance exam that is conducted on a rotational basis by the participating IITs and IISc. IIT JAM is the means through which candidates can secure admission in MSc and other post-bachelor courses offered at IITs and integrated PhD courses offered at IISc Bangalore. Several NITs and CFTIs also accept IIT JAM score to take admission.

The eligibility criteria required for the same os following:

  • Candidates should hold a bachelor’s degree with at least 55% aggregate marks (50% for SC/ ST/ PwD category candidates).
  • There is no age limit to appear for IIT JAM 2021 exam.
  • Final year students can also apply but they will have to have to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination to the admitted institute.

Hello student ,

For IIT jam exam you must have a qualifying  bachelor 's degree and it's eligibilty criteria required minimum 55% aggregate marks for general category  or 5.5 out of 10 in all subjects without rounding off and for the candidates and for other category one must have at least 50 % aggregate marks . Further in case of CGPA the equivalence in percentage of marks will be decided by the Admitting Institute.

No age limit is there and one who will be pursuing the qualifying examination have to submit the proof of passing the qualifying examination to the admitted institute .

Hi Raj,

IIT JAM is a Joint Admission Test for M.Sc. (JAM) conducted by Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. This is a computer based exam which is given to take admission in M.Sc. (Two Years), Joint M.Sc.-Ph.D., M.Sc.-Ph.D. Dual Degree, Post-UG Degrees Programmes at the IITs and Integrated PhD Degree Programmes at IISc. This is a national level exam with 3 hours of duration. 20 IITs and IISC offer admissions through JAM with a total of 2445 seats.

It's eligibility criteria is different for different subjects in which courses are offered. Common thing in all is that General/OBC should have minimum 55 per cent in the UG course and SC/ST/PwD  should have minimum 50 per cent in the UG course.
