JEE Main and Advanced are two levels of a National Level competitive exam conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) for admissions into B.Tech programs in various colleges including IITs and NITs. The exam is given by students who passed Class 12.

While JEE Main is the first level and is for admissions into all participating institutions except IITs. For IITs, one has to qualify JEE Advanced.

The advantage of taking these exams is that you can get admission in premier government colleges including IITs which are the top institutes of the country for B.Tech program.
