JEE Main is the national level examination which is held every year to provide engineering admissions into NITs, IIITs and GFTIs. After qualifying JEE Main, you can also attempt JEE Advanced (which is the gateway for IIT admissions). JEE Main, from 2019, will be conducted by NTA and will be held in online mode. It will also be conducted twice a year i.e., in January and April. If you attempt both exams, the best of the two will be taken into consideration while the rank list is being prepared.
