Satish , Basically biology is a derived from two words Bio and logos. From that two words first word bio means living organism, life and all. And logos means study so its totally means that study of life or living organism.

The word biology is derived from the greek word bios meaning life and logos meaning study and is defined as the science of life and living organisms. An organism is a living entity consisting of one cell eg. Bacteria or several cells eg. Animals ,plants and fungi.
It can also be defined as the study of living organisms divided into many specialized fields that cover their morphology ,physiology , anatomy , behaviour , origin and distribution .
