Hello,

In an admission process there are seat reserved or divided for home state students which means students who have passed their 11th and 12th from that state itself are eligible for that seat.

Eligibility criteria is different for different admission process. To give an example for an institute in Maharashtra if they have seats for home state then students who have passed their 11th and 12th from university in Maharashtra then they are eligible for home state seats.

Hello Aspirant,

The term "Home State" means the state where you are living with a parent or a person acting as a parent for last six consecutive months immediately preceding the time of filing of a petition or comparable pleading for support and, if child is less than six months old, the state in which the child lived from birth with a parent or a person acting as a parent.

This is nothing but when coming to the reservation process home stet candidates will have 85% percent reservation and for All India Quota candidates there is only 15% percent reservation.

Hope this helps you.

All the Best!!!
