Hello,

I here to help you,Open quota means when the students who are studied in that state and want to join the campus of same state it is called open quota.

State quota means for example we take Amrita Campus is at Multiple locations namely coimbatore, kolllam and bangalore,And also a new one is coming up in chennai. If we take coimbatore  Amrita campus  a certain percentage of seats arre reserved to the students from Tamilnadu.Same goes for all other campus there is a certain percentage of seats the college is located it is government rule.Students are absent from other sates then amrita college  consider in General Quota reservation.

I hope you Understood,

Thank you.
