Hello,

Photon is actually a particle representing a quantum of light or other electromagnetic radiation .

A photon carries energy proportional to the radiation frequency but has zero rest mass.

Photons are always in motion and travels with a constant speed.

Hope it will helps you.

Thank you.

Hello!

A photon is the quantum of electromagnetic radiation & the term quantum is the smallest elemental unit of a quantity. Here are few properties of photons:

  1. Photons are always in motion and, in a vacuum, travel at a constant speed.
  2. Have 0 mass
  3. Have no electric charge
  4. Are stable
  5. When in empty space, they travel at the speed of light.
  6. Carry energy and momentum

I hope this helps.

Hey there

A photon is defined as the smallest discrete amount or quantum of electromagnetic radiation.

Some features of photon are listed below:-

  • It is the basic unit that makes up all light.

  • It is electrically neutral

  • Photons are not defected by electric and magnetic field.

  • In a photon particle collision ,the total energy and total momentum are conserved.

Photons can explain phenomenon like photoelectric effect which the wave nature of light cannot explain

Thankyou
