There is only one document needed to declare or rather prove the validity of your caste is the caste certificate that you were issued by a competent government authority such as a District Magistrate or BDO or a SDO.

But in order to apply for a fresh caste certificate the following documents are needed to be presented along with a duly filled caste application form at the office of the governing authority:

• Birth Certificate.
• Aadhaar Card.
• Class 10th and 12th marksheet(if passed).
• Parent's caste certificate.
• Caste declaration signed from the Chairman of your Municipality and the Councillor of your ward.
• Address proof.
• Passport size photographs.
