if two are more students have secured equal marks in the entrance exam conducted by the university then admission will be successively given in order of preferences which are listed below

1. who secured highest marks in the qualifying examination

2. who secured highest marks in the subject he is seeking admission for

3. who secured highest marks in previous examinations like in 10+2 (for UG)

4. who is senior in age
