BRIEF ABOUT NIA PUNE -
NIA(National Insurance Academy) Pune is a premierinstituionin insurance was established to fulfill the needs of insurance sector.
NIA was established in the year 1980 jointly by the Ministry of finance and few other insurance companies. It offers 2 year post Graduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) course, which is a two year residential program.
The academy is spread over a 32 acres of lush green campus in Pune and has all the modern facilities like hostel, post office, bank, sports, gym, swimming pool, state of library.
Admission procedure -
Graduation in any discipline with a minimum of 50 % marks for General Category, 45 % for SC/ST/DA category as on 1st July 2019.
Selection criteria -
Upper age limit of 28 years for General, OBC-NC and 30 years for SC/ST/DA category as on 1st July 2019.
NIA accepts two scores I.e CAT/CMAT. Once you clear this phase you will be called for GDPI.
Weightage given for final selection -
Past academic records - 20 marks
Performance in CAT/CMAT - 50 marks
Performance in GD/PI 30 marks
GD - 10 MARKS
PI - 20 MARKS
Total 100 marks or percentage
Relevant work experience will be given appropriate weightage.
