The benefits of being a sc candidate are as follows

Reservation in appointment in Government jobs. (except in military and judiciary)

Reservation in promotion in Government jobs except in military and judiciary)

Various welfare schemes relating to food security, housing.

Reservation in Government educational institutions for study.

Fee waiver in Government held examinations (both in competitive examinations for recruitment and in competitive examinations for admission in educational institutions).

Age relaxation in appointment and education.

Free coaching for various Civil Services examinations.

Various welfare schemes for benefit of SCs/Sts.

Making untouchability a criminal offence (Although this is not a special benefit)

Creation of special statutory bodies, i.e., National commission and State Commissions who look into the complaints of discrimination against SCs and STs.

Provide scholarship to college students to those who getmin 55%in last qualifying exam on the basis of course of the candidate
