The best way to attempt bitsat is to start with english and logical reasoning as in the end when you panic, you cannot focus nicely. Then choose chemistry and then physics or maths based on your favourite subject. Do not give much time to a single question and do not panic even. Do not put aside calculations for the last moment.
One of the best books for bitsat english portion is arihant. Also you should practice previous year's question papers as much as you can.
