Hello, The attempt for General category students is 6 with upper age limit of 32 years and that of OBC candidates is 9 with upper age limit of 35 years. The OBC reservation can be claimed by only the non creamy layer OBCs other OBCs fall under general category.

The criteris for Non Creamy layer OBC is as follows

1. if either of the parents are group A or B post holders before age 40 then the candidate is a CREAMY layer OBC and if both the parents hold a group A or B post irrespective of the age of their appointment then the candidate is a CREAMY layer OBC

2. If your parents are employed in non government posts then the family income of the parents (not including the candidate's income) should not have exceeded 8 lakh per year for 3 consecutive years. Here the income form agricultural source will be neglected. Then the candidate falls in NON CREAMY layer.
