For placement in any reputed institute you have to score a total of atleast 6 or 7 sgpa in semester examinations and you should not have any backlogs.

Most of the time the only criteria for placement is no backlogs at the time of placement and aggregate of 6.5 and plus.
Although this criteria is decided by company visiting to the campus.
