Hi Amrita

For class 12 student or pass out: 5-year LLB program is better and should be preferred.

For undergraduate student programs : 3-year LLB program is better and only option.

Actually, both 5-year and 3-year LLB programmes are equally good and absolutely equal in the eyes of law and otherwise for all practical purposes. It all depends on the fact that how good the law school or faculty is and how an individual student makes best use of it.

Hope it helps :)

Hello

The basic difference between 3 year law and 5 year law course is that 3 years LLB can be taken after completing graduation. While the 5 years long LLB course or integrated LLB course is taken after completing 12th standard.

The objective of 5-year LLB course and the 3-year LLB programme is same , the  only thing is that 5 year llb course focuses on basic graduation level subjects apart from core law education as well.
