BSC major is equivalent to bsc general or pass course. However, there are certain differences with BSc honours degree. With BSc hons you get more specialized in a specific subject. Three years are needed to complete a B. Sc degree, and four years for the completion of a B. Sc (Hons) degree.

A student will have to write a dissertation for the completion of a B. Sc (Hons) degree. On the other hand, this is not mandatory for a B. Sc degree. A Bachelor of Science (Hons) degree is considered to be superior to the Bachelor of Science degree. The B. Sc (Hons) is considered to be, academically, more standard than the ordinary B. Sc degree. Another thing is that a student can get B. Sc degree more easily than a B. Sc (Hons) degree . One can also see that ,in order to get a job, a B. Sc (hons) degree is more beneficial than a B. Sc degree.

I hope this helps you!
