Hello,

Bsc microbiology is a general degree it will include theory knowledge and practicals. Bsc microbiology will not focus on one particular field of microbiology. Bsc medical microbiology is a specialised field in which you will study medical related microbiology concepts in detail. Such as prevention and control of virulent microbes and etc.

Hello Keerthikrishna

General microbiology places more emphasis on study of micro-organisms, while medical microbiology emphasizes more on prevention and treatment of diseases caused by these micro-organisms.Both are interesting fields with good job prospects and plenty of scope for research.

Hope it helps

Thank you!!
