H degree or Honours Degree is a variant of the undergraduate bachelor's degree containing a larger volume of material or a higher standard of study. Honours degrees are sometimes indicated by "Hons" after the degree abbreviation.  In most countries where honours degrees are granted, they imply a higher level of achievement than a non-honours degree.

Students who complete all the requirements for a non-honours bachelor's degree but do not receive sufficient merit to be awarded an honours degree would normally be awarded a non-honours degree (sometimes known as a "pass", "general" or "ordinary" degree).

Ordinary degrees can also be awarded to those students who do complete an honours degree course, but without achieving the conditions required to gain 'honours'.

Ordinary degrees are offered by almost all the institutions across the globe. This allows students higher study options in a particular area of study.

A B.Sc honours degree is a program which develops advanced theoretical and research skills leading to specialization in one of the subjects studied during the entire degree course. The honours programs are taken by students who wish to pursue Master of Science (M.Sc) or Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) and a research or academic career. For example, B.Sc Botany, B.Sc Zoology, B.Sc Biotechnology etc.

A B.Sc general or B.Sc pass or simply "B.Sc" is an academic degree designed to provide the students with foundation knowledge possible for a science-based career. For example, B.Sc Biology, B.Sc Physics, B.Sc Chemistry.
