Dear Aspirants ,

If you completed your undergraduate programme in BCA course then you will take direct admission MCA in 2nd year through lateral entry where the duration is 2 years .If you are not did undergraduate course in BCA then you will join as a MCA regular course where the course duration is 3 years this is the only difference between regular and lateral entry .

According to AICTE norms thee duration for MCA regular program is 3 years, but through lateral entry you can save 1 year and it is 2 years duration .
