Yes there is different between them. PGPM and PGDM are diploma courses where as MBA is regular course. MBA is offered by universities or the colleges affiliated to universities, while PGPM or PGDM are diploma courses offered by institutes approved by AICTE. PGPM/PGDM can either be of one year or two years. One year PGPM/PGDM cannot be equivalent to MBA. The advantage of the PGPM course is that students can complete the course faster than an MBA and get the same value. The course is specifically designed for working professionals, as it provides many advantages in the job market.
