There is a difference between B.tech and lateral B.tech.If we talk about B.tech,in B.tech a student persue his engineering degree just after the completion of his higher secondary education (12th board)or he can take drop for persuing the b.tech degree.But,in case of lateral b.tech he does not have to do the higher secondary education,he have to do a diploma after the high school education(10th board) and after the completion of diploma, he can get direct admission in engineering college for persuing the b.tech degree.
