What is the difference B/w BE & B.Tech, Is B.Tech is a better choice than BE....??plss tell
Universities which offered other degrees along with engineering called their engineering degree as BE (Bachelor of Engineering) and Institutes constituted for only Engineering studies named their degree as B.Tech (Bachelor of Technology).

Hi Utkarsh,
There is not much difference in B.E. and B.Tech. It's just the difference in name, nothing much. Some institutes or states apply for B.E. programmes, so they call their UG engineering programmes B.E., while some apply for B.Tech, so they call their programmes B.Tech. In terms of study, curruculum or career prospects, both B.E and B.Tech are considered equal and same. So don't worry about the name B.E. or B.Tech.
B.E is considered as knowledge oriented course mainly focus is on theory and B.tech is considered as skill oriented course mainly focus is on practical.
Both degrees have equal recognition and no degree is superior over other. Both share same values.
Top colleges for B.E are NSIT and BITS Pillani and top colleges for B.tech are IITs, NITs and DTU.
Good Luck!!
