JEE Main Chemistry Questions are mostly very direct, formula, information and reaction based, with respect to either Organic, Physical or Inorganic Chemistry. Little or Negligible in Depth application and thinking is required to solve the problems, provided youre confident with NCERT and have been through a Good Test Series, Handbooks/Notes and JEE Main Previous Years Papers. Secondly the variety of Questions is less in JEE Main and you have Single Option Correct and Numerical Type.
However, in JEE Advanced, you have a larger variety of Questions including Single Correct, Multiple Correct, Numerical Type, Assertion Reason, Paragraph Type and Column Matching, varying with various Years and relative difficulty. Secondly you need an intellect to apply the Chemistry, with in depth thinking to solve the application based problems, which are not direct and are mostly of a moderate to tough difficulty level.
