Difficulty level of NTSE examination does not differ much in subsequent years, but the number of candidates increasing each year makes the selection procedure even difficult.

The the cutoff marks stage 1 and stage 2 you were approximately the same as compared to last year, but the percentage of students parsing with respect to the total appearance, is slightly low.
