NIBM PUNE is one of the premier B - School which was established by RBI in consultation with the government in the year 1969. It is an autonomous apex institution for research, training, and consultancy in bank management. The lush green campus is situated in the heart of PUNE. It started with the Postgraduate programme in Banking and Finance in the year 2003-04. This course was later renamed as PGDM in Banking and financial services following the recognition by AICTE from 2013 onward.

RBI governor is the chairman of NIBM governing board.

Following is the eligibility for admission to NIBM PUNE for 2019 - 2021 -

Scores used - NIBM will use scores of CAT 2018 / XAT 20119 / CMAT 2019 for shortlisting of students for the next stage i.e  - Writing Ability Test and Personal Interview.

Past academics - The candidate at the time of admissions must also hold a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks or its equivalent CGPA.

Candidates those appearing in the final year of bachelor's degree/equivalent qualification examination and awaiting results can also apply.  Such candidates have to produce a certificate from the Principal/head of the institute that the candidate is in the final year and has obtained at least 50% marks based on the latest marks available. Candidate if selected will have to produce the certificate latest by June 30, 2019. Also, the deadline for submission of mark sheets and certificate of completion is October 31, 2019

National Institute of Bank Management, Pune accepts CAT, XAT scores for shortlisting candidates for WAT and PI. The eligibility criteria states that the candidate should have a Bachelor's degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA, awarded by any of the universities. Candidates in the final year of their bachelors degree are also eligible to apply but a certificate from the principal or head of your institute is required stating you as a final year student.
