School of Excellence in Law (SOEL) was established in year 2002. It is affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr. Ambedkar Law University, Chennai.School of Excellence in Law offers a regular LLM program in nine specializations.

The basic eligibility criteria for admission to the LLM program is a B.L. or LLB degree with minimum 45% marks under new regulations. Selection of candidates is done on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

B.L. / LL.B. candidates under old regulations are eligible to apply subject to meeting the minimum marks of 40%.Candidates awaiting their final year results are also eligible to apply.
