But i will suggest you that  If you want to do B.tech so go for it but you should try to get admission in good college if you will do it from reputated college so definately you will place in good company.

Make the most of what your college has to offer. Whether it be in terms of your batchmates, professors or the library. The company you keep makes a world of a difference.

Take up projects either with a professor or on your own.

Take part in competitions related to the field you are interested in. Not only does this show a proactive attitude but is also a great learning experience.

Keep a goal in mind about what you would want after college and work actively towards that.

Last but not the least, read a lot. Be aware of developments in your field of study and otherwise.

Yes you are absolutely correct B.Tech degree is the valuble degree one can have. It gives you a great guarantee that you can easily secure a job. Other than that you can also apply for PSUs and also can apply for phd program which is a very honoured position in every country.
