You don't need to write anything on the thumb impression;  you just need to upload a digital image of left-hand thumb impression on a white paper with blue ink in JPG format and the size should be between 10 KB and 50 KB. In case of any eventuality of left thumb being unavailable, you can give right hand thumb impression.
