The integration of tan x is ln|sec x|+C

you have to write tan x as sinx/cosx and then take any variable value as cos x. For example take t=cosx , so dt will be -sinx dx

Now substitute the values in place of sinx/cosx. This will make the integral simpler.

Then by solving the integral you will find the answer will be ln|sec x|+C
