The management seats  which account for 25% of the total seats  fees have almost been doubled than the government quota in Self-finance college. The Fee Regulatory Committee (Medical) has increased the fees for medical colleges from 2018-19.
For example, if the fees for a regular seat is Rs 5.24 lakh per annum, the fees for a management quota seat is Rs 13.91 lakh. The officials said that the fees for management seats ranged from Rs 8.25 lakh to Rs 13.91 lakh per annum in 2017-18. In 2019-20, they will be between Rs 13.5 lakh to Rs 16 lakh; and for 2020-21, they will be Rs 14.82 lakh to Rs 18.4 lakh.
