Hey! For admission into Sri Ramachandra Medical College through the government quota, the NEET-UG cut-off generally stays on the higher side because it is a deemed university and comes under MCC counselling. In 2025, the MBBS closing rank for general category under the government quota was around 2.6 lakh, while in the previous years it went up to nearly 2.7–3.1 lakh. For BDS seats, the cut-off usually extends further and in 2025 it was close to 5.2 lakh. However, these numbers can slightly change every year depending on the difficulty of the paper, number of applicants, and availability of seats. If your NEET rank is better than these ranges, then you have a fair chance to secure a seat under the govt quota. Still, keep in mind that cut-offs fluctuate, so it’s better to check official MCC counselling data once the seat matrix is released.

Hey! For getting into Sri Ramachandra Medical College (Chennai) under government quota, the cutoff changes every year depending on the number of applicants and the difficulty level of NEET.

MBBS seat (AIQ quota) – In 2025 counselling, the closing rank for the General category went up to around 2.6 lakh. In 2024 it was around 3.7 lakh.

BDS seat – In 2025, the cutoff for General category was around 5.2 lakh.

So, if your rank is better than 2.6 lakh, you have chances for MBBS, and if it’s better than 5.2 lakh, then BDS is possible. For reserved categories (SC/ST/OBC/EWS), the cutoff is usually a bit lower.

Hello Aspirant,

For NEET UG admission in 2025 has a cutoff of around 538 marks out of 720 in Round 1 of Tamil Nadu government quota (open/general category) counselling. This serves as a representation of the overall trend in the state and is most likely reflective of an institute such as Sri Ramachandra Medical College. In the All India Quota, the closing rank was around 263,126.
