Hello Sumanth,

There is a thin line or a slight difference between a Pass and an Honours (Hons) course in Bachelor of Science degree and a BSc Honours degree. Different institutions in countries have various practices but offer the same B.Sc degree as this is the standard academic degree that is offered to students who enroll for undergraduate courses. The period of the course is generally the same, that is 3 years, but it may differ in some countries. It is a common belief that job opportunities after BSc Honors is more than the opportunities post a simple BSc course.  Therefore, it is somewhat a popular course among students.

The Honours degree is slightly more beneficial than the Pass degree. A candidate with the honours degree is generally preferred over a candidate with non-honours BSc degree when it comes to jobs or job-related interviews.
