Revenue officers must have a bachelor’s degree in any field. Studying accounting, business administration or business law can help you succeed in this position. Earning a degree in a field that requires strong research skills, like journalism, can also serve you well. The IRS prioritizes candidates who have previous experience collecting delinquent loans. You must also know about organization and commercial practices and have proven investigative techniques.

 Minimum age is to be 21 years for becoming an Income Tax officer.
