Hello Nandhadev,

The Vellore Institute of Technology conducts the VIT Engineering Entrance Examination for admission undergraduate engineering courses (B.Tech) of participating institutes.

The cut off scores are decided by a string of various factors, some of which are as follows:

  • Difficulty Level of VITEEE 2020
  • Previous year’s cutoff trends
  • Number of candidates appeared for VITEEE 2020
  • Total number of seats available for admissions

According to previous years'cut off scores, the expected cut off closing rank for pursuing Mechanical Engineering in Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore is around 19000-19500. Therefore, it advisable to hit a minimum target of 45-55 marks in order to have a shot at admission into the Mechanical Engineering programme in VIT Vellore.

Hope this helps you. We wish you the best for your future endeavours!
