First of all for getting admission into any iit you need to qualify jee advance,after that you can get admissions in iits.

With qualifying jee mains you can get admissions in nits or any private colleges.

To get into IITs, you would have to clear the Jee Advanced, the Jee mains score will not be counted. However, you will have to clear a cutoff score in Jee mains in order to qualify for Jee Advanced.

I would like to tell you that for getting seat at IIT, you would have to clear the JEE ADVANCED  as well with a good score.

Only getting good marks can help you qulaify for JEE ADVANCED and get a college but not IIT.
