Hello,

Opening rank is the top rank of the first candidate among all other students who have applied and secured admission in to a particular course and the closing rank is the rank of the last candidate who have secured admission in to a particular course. The opening rank and closing rank are different for each course and category. Last year the opening rank and closing rank for admission to Aerospace Engineering in Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology was as follows

  • General: 58 (OR), 850 (CR)
  • EWS: 90 (OR), 123 (CR)
  • OBC: 128 (OR), 324 (CR)
  • SC: 20 (OR), 146 (CR)
  • ST: 2 (OR), 35 (CR)

Here OR is the Opening Rank and CR is the closing rank. Cut off rank changes every year depending on the total number of candidates applied, total number of seats available, preference of the course etc. To check the previous year cut off use the link given below
