Many candidates who qualify NEET 2019 will end up taking admission in private colleges. So, it is important that medical and dental aspirants know the process of admission in private colleges through NEET. The counselling for private colleges is conducted by the respective authorities, and not MCC/DGHS. For example, if a private medical or dental college is located in Chennai, the State Authority of Tamil Nadu will be responsible for the counselling process. Also, note that all seats in private colleges are generally filled on the basis of NEET All India Rank (AIR). Further, all seats in private colleges are open to all candidates, irrespective of the category they belong to.
