Courses & Eligibility

In India, there are various pilot training Institutions that provide various training courses. The training courses that are offered by the institutions are given here. You can pursue for these training courses after 12th .

Training Courses:

  • Student Pilot License: The duration of this course is six months.
  • Private Pilot License: It is one year duration course.
  • Commercial Pilot License: The duration of this course is three years.

Through these training courses, you can only allow to fly as a co-pilot. If you interested to fly as a captain then, you have to need an Airline Transport Pilot’s License.

The eligibility criteria to become a pilot are given below:

  • You have to complete your 12 th / equivalent examination.
  • You have to secure 50% marks in class 12 th & equivalent.
  • Only those candidates pursue a pilot training course that have Physics, Chemistry & Mathematics in class 12 th .

A candidate should have passed class 12th with 55% and the main subject should be physics and mathematics graduation you can do with any course.

Hello aspirant

you will be required to complete flying training from any flying school which is recognized by the DGCA.

DGCA is the Directorate General of Civil Aviation.

So make sure to select a flying school recognised by DGCA before enrolling.

Course time is around 1 year. It may change according to flying School to school.

It costs around 20 to 40 lakhs.

EIBILITY CRITERIA:

The eligibility criteria in most of the flying schools is that to become a commercial pilot you must pass your 12th board exams with subjects- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics.

Different schools might prescribe a minimum aggregate as per their own requirements.

Other than this, they also lay down specific physical as well as medical eligibility criteria related to height, eyesight etc.
