what is the process to get the admission for the hotel management for 3 year degree in your college?

Hi Mayuresh,

Before I get into the methodology for admission into the course of hotel management, let me first discuss about the eligibility criteria for the same. As you did not mention the college of your preference, the data that I am referring to should be enough for most hotel management institutes. The eligibility criteria for admission are as follows:

  • Cleared class XII or equivalent examination with at least 50% aggregate marks and this is considered as the qualifying examination.
  • English should be one of the compulsory subjects in the compulsory examination.

After the above criteria are met some hotel management institutes directly take admission through merit and availability of seats but there are some reputed hotel management institutes that also conduct entrance examinations for admission into the hotel management course like IIHM conducts an entrance examination named as IIHM eCHAT.
