Do take CSE as your branch in engineering and after 4 years you will be a software engineer

Clear JEE Mains with good rank
Get into IIIT or some well known NIT opting CSE or IT
                      Or
Clear JEE ADV and get in IIT opting CSE or IT
                      Or
If you are not interested in B Tech go for BCA (Bangalore recommended)
                       Or
If you failed to do any of these Prepare for GATE and you will get a second to get into IITs or NITs
